Privacy Policy

ArtKeeps is operated by Visoft Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the ArtKeeps mobile app and website at artkeeps.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ArtKeeps you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account: your email address, used to create and authenticate your account via a magic-code login.
• Profile: your display name and optional profile photo.
• Child profiles: first name, date of birth (used to auto-calculate age and grade), and an optional photo for each child you add.
• Artwork: photos you upload, along with any titles, descriptions, categories, and dates you add to them.
• Family connections: email addresses of family members you invite to share access.

Information collected automatically

• Push notification token: an Expo push token generated by your device, used to send you in-app notifications.
• Usage data: basic analytics (upload counts, feature interactions) used to improve the product. We use Sentry for crash and error reporting; no personally identifiable information is intentionally sent in error reports.
• Device information: device type and OS version, collected to ensure compatibility and for error diagnosis.

AI-assisted features

When you use the "Detect" feature to auto-suggest an artwork title and description, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API over HTTPS. No image is stored by ArtKeeps beyond the API response, and no personally identifiable information is included in the request. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the ArtKeeps app and services.
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• To display your artwork, child profiles, and family connections to you and any family members you have invited.
• To send push notifications you have opted into (upload activity, weekly digests, family invites).
• To process and manage your subscription through RevenueCat.
• To respond to support requests and account deletion requests.
• To diagnose crashes and errors via Sentry.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

ArtKeeps is designed for parents and guardians. The primary account holder must be 13 years of age or older. We collect limited information about children (first name, date of birth, and photos) solely to provide the artwork-organization features of the app. This information is provided by the parent or guardian and is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or shared beyond the family members the account holder explicitly invites.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information about a child without appropriate parental consent, please contact us at support@visoftinc.com and we will delete it promptly.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Family members you invite: content you mark as shared is visible to invited family members.
• Service providers: we use InstantDB (database), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Sentry (error monitoring), Expo (push notifications), and Google (AI features). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, child profiles, and uploaded artwork within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days after deletion.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and correction: you can view and update your profile information in the app at any time.
• Notifications: you can enable or disable push notifications in Settings.
• Account deletion: you can delete your account from Settings → Delete Account, or by submitting a request at artkeeps.com/delete-account.
• California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).
• EEA/UK residents (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@visoftinc.com.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS for all data in transit and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of ArtKeeps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
